It is not a secret that I have been down with stress twice, within the last 8 years. The last time it took me about 2 years to really feel myself again, to be happy and enjoy life.

This is a feeling I don’t wish to anyone and I should have learned by now, how to cope with stress. However, it seems like I am constantly on the edge of being stressed again.

Sometimes I believe it is because I am passionate about my job or the things I do. I throw myself into something or a project that it feels like it consumes me, and the worst thing is that I can’t really stop.

So, this is a list of the things I do, to NOT cope with stress, if you want to be inspired on the list, and use it to your own benefit, do the opposite. 😉



Work all the time – this is the (dis-)advantage of being self-employed, I could limit myself to working hours but suddenly I see myself working until 22 o’clock or during the weekends, when I rather spend time with my family


Don’t sleep enough – partly because my kids don’t sleep through the night


Don’t exercise – ok I do try, but I am apparently not motivated enough…


Don’t eat properly – sometimes because of the rush we need to get out in the morning I don’t have time for breakfast… which results in bad mood, migraines and a lost day

The list can go on… but you know that these are the essentials of keeping you away from stress and I haven’t been that good at.

So please, don’t do it like me!
